If you aren't using an anti virus, you should be. There are some free ones on the net but AVG by Grisoft is the one that is recomended by Maximum PC magazine. It is a good performer and has automatic updates. You can download it free at their home page. http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_index.php Let's all help keep the internet safe.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

I downloaded that a few months ago and I can definitely say I like it. Especially with the new look and automatic updates, it is a great free alternative to Norton and McAfree.

Could you give more info on this product, like customer reviews?

I don't know of any reviews other than Maximum PC magazine gave them their "softy award" for 2004. I have installed it on one of my computers and it seeems to work as well as the commercial products that I have on my other computers. Maximum PC says they now use tis on all their computers. Check Grisoft website for more info on the product. They are a company that works with security on large corporate networks.
By the way if you want more security download the free version of Zone Alarm firewall at http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/home.jsp This will help keep trojans and other exacutables from infesting your computer.
Finally, to get rid of spyware and mallware, dowload and use Ad-aware Personal, from www.lavasoft.com and Spybot Search and Deastroy from http://www.spybot.info/en/index.html Spyware can really slow your computer and cause all kinds of trouble.
