Aniem soundtracks...can you buy them???

Postby cilu » Tue Jul 20, 2004 8:01 pm

I know there was some topic about this before, but i really don't feel like browsing 140 pages to see if it did so if you're gonna lock this than... it's ok.
It just the fact that after i saw an episode from rurouni henshin, the next day i woke up with the credit music, "playing" in my head. God, that was awful, i had to download it from the net and listen to it a few times to get over it... It's not that i liked it so much but it sort of hanged on in your brain and kept repeating itself. This was midseries, near the fight with shishio. Did that ever happened to anyone of you? To be stuck with a tune in your mind and couldn't get ovet it?
Btw, about soundtracks, rurouni kenshin's is pretty good, hellsing's demential but are there any other that's good? After seeing some other animes i didn't kept in my mind only the two i mentioned (soundtrack speaking). But that's entirely my opinion...

I buy mine from www.yesasia.com ... that's where I went for some Dir en grey and ALI PRO and even some Korean rap like Drunken Tiger and 't'. You can find a lot of Asian albums there, even anime OSTs. In regard to anime OSTs, I got the one of Noir.
Yeah ... I use a Mac ... it works and I like it.

I love the Evangelion, dot hack, Big O, Rurouni Kenshin, Spirited Away, and Lain soundtracks. I've gotten most of my music from [Link removed for being a bootleg site.] and ebay. [The site I got it from is a bootleg site which] has a huge selection of all kinds of anime stuff, but prices aren't always the cheapest. But soundtracks tend to be like only $12.

Hmmm, I usually find the soundtracks in Media Play in the anime section though they're mostly Geneon brands (of course there's nothing wrong with them  ).

Here's Geneon's sound track website. I like how they let you sample some of the track's, let's you know what to expect from em.

Also, some special edition DVD releases come with sound tracks included.

Well the Witch Hunter Robin soundtrack released with the dvd set was excellent. Only problem is that it only came with the dvd set. You could get the import of it though. I think there are acutally 2 OSTs for that. Someone would have to check that though. If you wanted to preview some songs they have a player on the WHR website that lets you hear the opening, ending, robin's theme, silence, stn, and a the opening guitar long version.

Fruits Basket is also a nice soundtrack to have but it's more for people who really enjoyed the show. You get memories from the songs. That is available a lot of places though.

Haibani and Tsukihime soundtracks as mentioned are both superb.

The Suncoast I work at has a surprisingly large selection of anime soundtracks, most Suncoasts and Samgoodys should have some OSTs
