Thanx, but i already have a place.

Its in a shitty 2-story house. The place is called David's comics, and not many people know about it. He has over 2000 anime dvd's and videos that you can rent for $1.50 (for 3 days) also has every marvel comics there is on sale, action figures, books, and magazines.

You can talk to the guy and he can order manga for you then all you have to do is go to the place and pick it up. The same with the DVDs. He orders them from a friend in Japan, and its very cheap. My friend got the Hellsing boxset for $45 (and its on 3 dvd's not 4 like the american version). Also the Evangelion boxset is $50, pretty cheap if you ask me. The only drawback is that you have to wait about a month for it to arrive.
Shitty sig... i should make another one >_<

Yes, that's why there's best buy. For those of us with little pocket change.

Correct me if im wrong .. but i believe the Japanese release was 4 discs also....
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.

eh, I don't know, but most Japanese releases I've looked at online have fewer episodes per disc if anything than the American versions.

I myself usually buy anime online (I'm pretty good at avoiding bootlegs by now). Otherwise, I buy it new from Best Buy or used from Wherehouse.

There's always the the anime corner store. Same prices as bootleg sites, but all legit. At least I think so. They also take money orders, which you can get at you're local post office (for those of us without credit cards).

Legit, yes, but nowhere near the same prices as bootleg sites. More like the same prices as someplace like www.bestprices.com or www.deepdiscountdvd.com ... and I got so excited when I saw this post, too. :P

I meant the prices for legit DVDs off a certain anime store. Of course bootlegs are cheaper.
