Anime Rental Stores

This forum is for informing everyone else about special deals on stuff to buy like DVDs, cheap hard drives, blank CDs on sale, etc.

It all depends on where you live.

Where I'm from, all I can do is walk into one of those big movie stores (Blockbuster, West Coast Video) and I can easily find a lot of anime for rent and only a few for sale.

The Blockbuster I used to work for is always expanding their anime rental inventory. Might be because almost everyone who works there watch anime : )

Also, I could've sworn seeing an advertisement for an online rental company that rents out anime. Can anyone confirm this being true?

Yeah, I just saw NetFlix place a TV ad. The company is really taking off.

Walmart also offers DVD Rentals. They only carry 200 anime titles, but the trial is for 30 days instead of the two weeks NetFlix and Greencine trials offer.

AnimeNation is launching their own anime rental service, Rent Anime. Seems pretty comparable to NetFlix if you're in or near Florida. They are offering 2 week trials.

Rentertainment was mentioned before but to be a little more specific for the people at University of Illinois and Urbana Champaign you can rent anime for $1 a dvd on Sundays. It is a good deal otherwise you rent for the usual $3 a dvd.
