Well, some of the big store like Best BUy, Circuit City, and CompUSA have DVD burners for around $200 - $250. Of course that's with the $100 rebate, but in a couple weeks you should get your money back. Long term investments. I bought a CD-RW for $70 but with the rebates (which I should get within a month) it's $0. Not bad eh?

For the price your looking at I'd probably recommend looking to get something that's remanufactured. I personally prefer them because I know somebody had to at least turn on and test the device before it was sold. Just remember the warranties usually won't go more than 90 days.

Tiger Direct usually has a pretty good selection of recertified products. I haven't had any problems with recertified orders. I've gotten a Gateway computer and a D-Link router this way. http://www.tigerdirect.com

(1) You can get a new burner for under $300.

(2) Don't necropost, this thread was more than two months old.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."
