Where can I buy an unlicensed series?

Postby Crohan » Sun Jul 03, 2011 3:54 pm

I've had an idea for quite sometime now with the anime version of Valkyria Chronicles. It's not licensed here in the U.S., so I can't find a distributor. Any suggestions on where to find a complete box set online?

I checked it out and they only sell individual DVDs (no boxset, containing 2-4 episodes each) for 60 - 70 USD! I can't really afford that...

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep it in mind for future use.

Yea, that's pretty much what the retail prices are in Japan (and a tiny mark-up).

You can also try http://www.amazon.co.jp. Just sign up for an account and international addresses are just fine. Navigating the site can be interesting, but the key pages like ordering can be viewed in English (mostly). I was able to import some Blu-rays for much cheaper than what CD Japan was asking.

Thanks for the info. Now I just need to learn how to navigate it, lol. Shouldn't be too hard. Thanks!
