Aun Studios Sues RDS for Patent Infringement
CUPERTINO, California—April 1, 2010—Aun Studios® today filed a lawsuit against RDS for infringing on 20 Aun Studios patents related to its Amvs, underlying Editing structures, and effects. The lawsuit was filed concurrently with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and in U.S. District Court in Delaware.
“We can sit by and watch competitors steal our patented effects, or we can do something about it. We’ve decided to do something about it,” said Bakadeshi, Aun Studios’s CEO. “We think competition is healthy, but competitors should create their own original effects, not steal ours.”
Aun Studios reinvented the AMV in 2006 with its revolutionary Project Ayumix, and did it again in 2007 with its pioneering Project Ayumix2, which now offers more than 21,000 hits in over 90 countries. Over 2 thousand copies have been downloaded worldwide.
