Just to let you all know, Episode 12 and 14 have finished post production and are now available in their full quality from the Talkshoe server. I will be updating the RSS feed and the website with these episodes tomorrow.

Also, as we get back into the swing of things I will be recording a live show this Saturday at the usually time 3~6 PM EDT. You can listen in through talkshoe or join in on the call if you feel up to it.

I find it funny I'm listening to this show about editing right now instead of editing like I SHOULD be. Procrastination FTW.

Here you go, episode 12 and 14 for your listening pleasure. Or you can update your pod catcher if you desire as I've also updated the RSS feed, and fixed any mistakes in the feed and uploaded files.

Edit: Well, seems the cohosts are all away so we're going to plan to do a live recording later tonight. I've got a few other hosts lined up for then so tune in sometime between 9~11 PM EDT for it!

Now that my real life has settled down a bit and I'm not out of town or doing house work I think it's time to cast Raise and 2 Cures on the podcast.

Episode 15 was recorded, however I'm still deciding if I want to release it due to the less then srsbzns that is a podcast with the members of CB-R. (and we're live! CB-R RADIO!!!) You can still listen to it by going to Talkshoe if you feel like it.

Ep 16 is scheduled to begin recording around 4PM EDT. Come listen in via Talkshoe or wait for the release on your pod catcher or itunes hopefully by Monday.

Alright, provided I don't crash again and everyone shows up we will be recording two episodes this weekend. I'll be recording a mid-week episode live tonight around 7PM EDT. Provided we can get the live skype stream to work, we'll be recording a weekend episode tomorrow around 4 PM EDT.

As long as all the recording goes well and there isn't any technical difficulties I'll be posting the HQ versions of these eps sometime next week.

Episode 16 is now available for download. It is a traditional mid-week episode, meaning you get to hear a lot of my voice.

Also, we will be recording another ep tomorrow. I cannot guarantee that a live stream will be available, but if there is I hope more of ya'll tune in then did for my recording tonight.

You bring up a very good point about the our computer mouse design. It's funny how long computers been out and the core design of the mouse hasn't changed and editing with our hands like in Minority Report would be amazing. I don't see something like that happening anytime soon but the idea of it is still pretty awesome. The only thing that would get me is my laziness, having to wave your arms and hands all day would get old quick lol

Give me something like the touch screen computer from Casino Royale and I'd never stop editing.

A bit more serious, wouldn't programmers have to design their programs so doing specific hand movements on the screen has the desired effect? Without that you wouldn't be able to cut clips, you'd have to shorten/lengthen it to the area you want. It's a very exciting prospect nonetheless, I'm sure it'll happen eventually.

i imagine the computer would just use one-finger touch to replace the mouse. for fancier things like sliding and dual point touch sensitivity...yeah, they might.

To comment on your part about motion technology, I just don't feel that motion sensing technology is anywhere near good enough to be implemented into a video editing program. There are just too many tools that we use, and using a mouse/ cursor is simply the easiest way to sort through them. Also, moving your hands like that to edit a video would be seriously exhausting. After editing a video for a few hours, my fingertips start to go numb. Motion editing would spare our fingers, but kill out arms, and require ten times the amount of energy and work.

Edit: Since there is gonna be so many editors at AWA, do you plan on having a "live from AWA" episode?
