So you don't listen to Blues, Jazz, Soul or just about any rocknroll? Jesus, I know you're russian, but cmon, HOW WHITE can you possibly get?

Don't make me post a video of me having sex while listening to 21st Century Skitzoid Man. I've boned to half of King Crimson's discography.

No matter what style you edit your videos in, I think you still need some sense of rhythm for the flow. My husband is an artist and very creative, but I know he had to be taught how to count beats and find the rhythm in songs when he first starting making AMVs.

I have a very musical background so it comes naturally to me. I tend not to beat sync, I'm more into lyric-syncing, probably because I prefer singing to playing an instrument. A lot of my transitions and scene changes and whatnot come during changes in the singing, since that's what I relate to the most. Sure, I could beat sync, I know how to find the strong beats and where they should be accented, but most of my AMV ideas are centered around the meaning of the lyrics with the anime, so that is my focus. But, that is also why I try to join MEPs, it forces me to try out different styles and think outside my comfort zone. I just did one that was mostly instrumental and it was a nice challenge to do something different.
