Fluxmeister's Souls of Rage and Sorrow is really good. Escaflowne movie using Path by Apocalyptica.

There's also some other instrumental AMVs out there. Two of them are mine(and one of those has a nickelonen bug in it) and the other one is the best ochestral AMV I've ever seen, except that the quailty is so-so.

I won't list mine, so Here's

There's a few to the Four SEasons that I saw while judging for AWA that are good, the Boogie Pop Phantom one is great, don't know who made it though, blind judging. There's been some others but a lot of people don't do instrumental, sad because it can make such great AMVs. OFf hte top of my head though I can't think of others.

I love doing Ochestral AMVs. You can do so much and no matter what you do, the timing's usually right. It's just so hard to find the perfect anime to use for your favorite classical music. (But I like to use the "Time Machine"'s soundtrack. That's got some good stuff ;])

Let's see what I can think of...

Kareshi Kanojyo No Jijyo | Far and Away

Endure

Caffeine Encopium (try searching for this on KaZaA, there's no download for it)

Flights of Fancy

Excalibur (this has some voices in it, but not lyrics really)

...

erm, well, anyway

VHDB - Excalibur is pretty good. It's not purely instrumental, but there's no real lyrics to the song, since they pretty much slice and dice Orff's O Fortuna up and mix it with a healthy serving of techno.

Good video, though.

I'll second Far & Away and Caffeine Encomium, as listed by Silver Moon above.

Souls of Rage & Sorrow is very good too.

*Looks around for some good instrumental AMV's which are downloadable and haven't been listed by anybody yet"

Vlad's Destiny of the Dark is pretty good with Batman's Theme.

Fitting that Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust should come to mind since I'm working on something of a VHDB instrumental myself. Although I can't really call it a instrumental since it has too many variations to the theme. The start is pretty classy though, now I have to finish it...

Can't really think of any other downloadable instrumentals at the moment, fluxmeister's "Souls of Rage and Sorrow" is a good download though.

If I had it up for download, I'd say my Eden 12/24 video. But it won't be up for download until Phade gets the Donut running...
