Why does it have to be that extreme? If I make a video that I'm proud of, then I'd want people to see it. There's nothing wrong with desiring a little bit of recognition for your efforts. Who says it has to go as far as seeking "noob worship" and extreme popularity, trolling for awards, or gaming the system?
