What made me seem like "not a nice guy"?

A wise person or maybe someone who was drunk once said, "sometimes it is best to let something go otherwise you risk repeating your previous mistakes."

All you risk doing by asking that question is to be flamed by morepeople who don't have anything intelligent to add. I think there were a few people who offered to help you. I would start by asking them for advice and just stepping away from this thread afterward. You can't make everyone in the world happy and if you have to, then you should start with yourself. woohoo my 3rd post!!

No, I piss over people who misspell words out of ignorance/stupidity/uneducatedness or who carelessly use incorrect grammar. Making a typo and typing "aurplane" instead of "airplane" is completely different than someone thinking the word is speled "airplain."

I know I'm a bit late here, but with all this spell checking I just have to suggest that Jbone look up the word "especially"??? :P

I don't need to look it up, I need to learn to type. :-D

Remember, I made the comment because he didn't know what a word meant. He knew perfectly well how to spell it. :-)

Bah, this is obviously a contraction. Expecially is just a shortened version of "extra specially"! Thus, jbone was saying that grammar is not only special, it is EXTRA special!

I have an apprentice… He’s never going to become a master though: I’ll never let him learn that final finishing move thingy that I get killed by when he masters.

Hey jbone, maybe what he meant is, "read this if 'in need of apprentice'"? Eh? So in that case he was just misleading. Wheeeeeeee! 'Educatedness', I gotta add that word to my repertoire. 'Ness' is the best affix ever! And duh! the grammar you use here should just be your natural grammar guys. Don't try and sound smarter than you are cuz then you're misleading.

And jbone is right about grammar being important in a text-based community because people only see what you right. And the better it looks the better you look.
