In need of an apprentice

Postby khoveraki » Tue Jul 16, 2002 9:43 pm

Hello, I am new to this AMV thing. I HAVE seen many, many anime's, infact, the list could go on and on, but i am really interested in making anime music videos. If someone could just devote a little time helping me make one that would be great. I hope someone will. Thanks, in advance!

1) Look up the word "apprentice."

2) "Anime's" isn't a word. If it were, however, an apostrophe wouldn't make it plural, it would make it possessive.

3) <A HREF=http://www.animemusicvideos.org/legacy/guide.htm>RATFAG</A>

4) Nobody here will hold your hand.

1.) pretty sure apprentice is spelled right.

2.) who cares about grammar?

3.) I was asking for someone to hold my hand, holding hands are for the weak (and people like yourself im sure)

Apprentice is spelled right, but you have no clue what it means. If you had misspelled it, I would have corrected your spelling, not told you to look it up. :-)

Grammar is incredibly important, expecially in a text-only method of communication. Without even attempting to use proper grammar, a person appears young, immature, and uneducated to anyonw reading anything they type.

And I won't take offense at your third comment, because when someone such as you makes such a low blow without even knowing anything about the person while in a forum in which that person is well known, you only make yourself look foolish. :-D

just tell him he means apprenticeship! And unless you plan on going pro with you vids anytime soon you well never need an apprenticeship in amvs. the closest you get would be a nice guide by Ermac, the local whipping boy.

jesus people...

someone comes to a-m-v.org... asks for some help... and you flame the guy...

how fair is that?

sure he didn't understand apprentice. [shrugs]

and so what if he make typographical errors. that's ok too. i make spelling errors. i make typos. WHO CARES?!

you guys shouldn't discourage people from wanting to make amvs.
it's not fair to him.

i remember when i first started making amvs.
i had no one to help me. and it took so long to get used to it.

but things would be easier if someone would at least help him get started.

i mean.. im more than welcome to ask for help. i more than likely wont HOST the video, but i'll help show you the steps in making one.

you guys are all mean to the newbies.

jeez.

the guy is a fucking moron. He has no desire to learn, otherwise he would take some time to do some research before asking questions.

Dude, you know I suck at typing, lol.

Funny, you piss all over people for making simple mistakes such as typos. And yet you make the same mistakes.

No desire to learn? That seems a little silly, considering he's asking for help. Maybe he really does want to... "apprentice..." under a known creator - with the egos on this site I'm sure someone would take a surrogate follower under his/her wing. Christ, you people are cruel to... what's the term? "Newbies?" Yeah. Have a little patience - it goes a long way in life.
