Postby DullOxide » Tue Jul 16, 2002 8:04 am

lately I have been trying to make some AMV's and I was looking throught the AMV search at the site to see if my most favored AMV was there and I couldnt find it.. now I was woundering if anyone else has ever seen it.. It is called "Dark Kamui - DragonBall Z - vegeta" personaly it is the best AMV I have EVER seen not to say the very best because there are alot of AMV's i have not seen. so if you have ever seen this AMV i would like to know your opinion of is and if you have seen a better one. If you havent seen this AMV email me and ill send you it.

Bad newbie! Learn you place!! :P

Seriously, you should read the forums for a while before you start posting in them. I'd be careful; this post might get you seriously flamed.

You should read the first few posts from SuicideKyd, he demonstrates how to properly engage the forums when you're not new at them. Don't read on, though, he becomes Super Evil n00b.

Also, you're going to find out quickly that most of the people here don't like Dragonball Z, Linkin Park, or their offspring, Linkinball Z vids. I don't think I've seen Dark Kaumi's vid, but I have heard people talk about it. It may be good, but I can guarentee it's not the best out there. One video from him I liked was FLCL done to "Kittie - Brachish." As for a best video, there is no such thing, because people have different tastes in what they like (Although it seems a concensus around here that Kevin Caldwell's "Engel" is the greatest video).

At any rate, welcome to the ORG, and tread lightly for a while. Good luck!

Dark Kamui's DBZ-Vegita video is one of my absolute favorites. It also was one of the first AMV's i ever saw, (kinda stumbled upon it on bearshare). I think it is "cool" here to diss DBZ/LP videos, so i'd think nothing of it. Like someone said earlyier, most critically acclaimed is the Kevin Caldwell videos (my favorite being the Kodocha vid). I'd look at the top 25 vids here and get them.

I suppose you read these posts a lot which I do not but from what I have read you people really dont like the Linkinball z vids but I decided to post this not to say it is the best and come off as some "Bad newbie!" but to say that I personaly think that it is the best I have seen to this day until I think otherwise it will still be that way. This is why I have posted this because I dont want to spend years reading the post and seeing the things I might say that have already been said. I just wanted to know how Dark Kaumi's rep was around here and see if anyone has seen the vid. And not to be a mean "Bad newbie!" but if you would have read the post then you would have seen i did say that in my own opinion it was the best I have seen so you post really just saying what I said in a longer fasion. As I said NOT to be a mean "Bad newbie!". Thanks for your reply tho.. :P
And I will check out the vid that you all say are good.

Just so you know, and I think you do, half of that post was just me joking around. I've heard a lot of people say that Dark Kaumi's Vegeta vid is really good. I presonally haven't seen it, but I have no doubt that it's good. He even posted a forum thread that contained some of the rabid fanboy e-mails he's accumulated because of it's popularity.

Hell, there's nothing wrong with liking Linkinball Z vids, in my opinion. I think they can be very good. It's just that there are an abundance of newbies, and I'm not saying you're one of them, that come here with their own craptastic DBZ/LP vid, and boast that it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

At any rate, I was just razzing you a little bit. That's just my personality. You'll learn about different people once you've been around longer. Like jbone, the whimsical grammar freak; and temjin, the..uh....I don't know what he is, but cross him and he'll call you a hippie with no thumbs. Whatever that means.

So once again, welcome to the ORG, and don't take everything everyone says too personally!

It's a cool video, but all you ever hear from DK is "jesus I cant believe people like that slop" and "I get over 200 emails an HOUR on how cool it was" and stuff like that, it's actually kind of funny.

had it been anyone else, I wouldn't even have replied :D

You've never seen anything by Kevin Caldwell, have you? :P

BTW Kevin Caldwell's Believe to Battle Atheletes is the best AMV I've seen yet. I'm sure I'll find a better one someday.

I don't know where you got that idea. What video has over 290 opinions again? ^_^
