My native resolution is 1680x1050 and it doesn't even fill that.

I've been waiting for Advent Children to come out on Blu Ray forever. I would upgrade to Blu Ray just to watch that shit.

I wonder how many people will buy the AC blu ray just for a prolonged scene of Sephiroth impalling and lifting Cloud :/

That's one of the reasons I'm getting it. I just really want to see this movie the way it was intended to be seen.

And for some reason the quote button didn't work for me, twice.

Well the movie is only about 7 mins longer... most of that probably being the impale scene you mentioned....
but well they added dirt onto the people while fighting and fissures onto their clothes...
they also added new sound fx, mainly when they wield their swords... etc

all just small bonuses i guess, the main thing is that it's in HD then... which would make me buy the movie anyway then, i guess.....

Maybe it's still a bit too early for 1080p. First wait for 720p to spread.

Besides, I don't think current hardware can handle 1080p well (At least, mine can't).
I'm current using lagarith for 720p, and this is already quite CPU consuming.
Huffyuv would require less CPU and be better for 1080p, but then it's the HD which will be pushed to its limits.

Somehow Dragonball Z - Squenix Fanboy Edition in HD doesn't really excite me :P
