How can we get the DDR2 project ?

Postby WilLoW :--) » Mon Jan 13, 2003 3:49 am

I'd love to get a copy of the entire ddr2 project...but I live in France (so it was impossible for me to order the DVD ...sob...)

Is there somewhere were I can download it ? order it by email ? (will the AMV Distrib Center have a copy ?)

...

I was thinking to make a ~700 MB DivX version of it... I'll keep you informed when I'll have it ready ;)

Thank you very much !

Heeey, it IS your AMV on AzuMangaDaioh, that I watched yesterday, that made me want to have the whole ddr project! (oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeaaaah, let's get down !)

Actually, VegettoEX has finished mastering a VCD version, so he'll probably be firing off a copy to the AMV distribution center before long.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

Eh Eh... thanks again Gary... I believe that half of the success of this video is due to your excellent publicity :D

And glad that you made it for the DDR3 man... hope to see you at AWA this year ;)

If the many DDR projects don't make their way to the Golden Donut (in Divx or similar codec, vcd quality wouldn't do it justice) I will be much annoyed.

Couldn't agree more.
a VCD wouldn't be really nice... (only for people who don't own any computer...)

I check that ordering page for the DDR 2 project at least once a day, and still no updated order form!

turboneko, that divx rip idea of yours is looking better and better by the minute.

You know, trying to distro something like that via BitTorrent might be a great test for BT around here. Lots of people would want it, pretty much all around the same time. Perfect type of situation for that sort of thing.

Ummm... VCD being worked on. Stay tuned for more info. :)

As for the online DVD ordering thing, it's being looked into, or so I hear.

I read on the DDR ML that they lost the data on the machine with the order form. It was backed up except for that. They're working on putting it back up.

Well I finally got my DDR2 DVD today, and I'm encoding an XviD version right now. I can prolly also do a VCD, but I figured a CD sized XviD would potentially better quality. I guess I can probably host it on my machine, though if anyone involved with the project would like to take a gander first and make sure that the quality's up to snuff, I'm sure that we can arrange that.
