using the fade effect 54 times in a vid that is 5 mins.
So in other words, one part of the community is waging war on another part of the community because they take their community seriously enough to want to do so. Then they tell the powerless side to get over the loss cause it's just an online community. I'm glad people make so much sense." -- Tab

I have sinned. I made a video I wanted to make that was music + anime + sync + action + effects/transitions. Oh lordy.

Of course going overboard or using effects doesn't guarantee that your
audience will like it!

Ok, Ive been meaning to review your Escaflowne movie vid ("souls" I think it is?) for a while now to tell you that you are exactly the OPPOSITE of overboard. You use a lot of very flashy effects, which is perfectly fine in my book because they all come together to enhance the effect and rhythm of the video, wheras a video that is "overboard" uses effects simply so that they can say they used effects (or so it seems sometimes.) Rhythm and feeling enhancement is the purpous of effects, and they should be prioritived as such.

You want a video that went overboard on effects, check anything out by Aaron (of neogohan.net) he goes mental with effects, as NeoGohan himself put it though, shameless rock is "Aaron on crack" so I'm guessing that says enough. My video technoshock may have gone a little overboard aswell, don't worry, my next video is going to be the insanity of that x100 *ponders*Maybe I should try to make a regular video instead of hard to understand shit*ponders*

hey .. i particularly enjoyed Koopiskeva's Rei Mix .... thought it was extremely intricate and had alot of thought put into it, as did a group of my freinds who had seen it.... keep up the good work :) :)
...the problem I see a lot is that many good amv makers think they suck, and many bad amv makers think they're good.
I've seen it happen, man! I've SEEN IT!..

LMFAO!
:D
Koops video would basicly be my defination of what correct use of effects is. Koop created the greatest atmosphere and the rhythm simply throbbed in my mind. Somehow this is kinda strange that you and I disagree on such a seemingly objective point. ^_^

No.

BTW, I saw the review that Glorious Nukes left you. To be fair, it should be said that he has an annoying habit of copying what other people say, either screwing up on the delivery or forgetting critical details, and then acting like he thought it up. I'm glad I don't have to work with him on weekends.

Hmm, you expect me to listen to what he has to say, yet you don't take your own advice. :?

Hey, if he left a review for one of MY videos, then I'd read it. And although you updated your response to my opinion, you're still responding to comments that have been altered or deleted. You, uh, might want to correct that.

I find nothing wrong with inducing headaches, or having "way too many flashing things" in my videos. As a braindance/IDM AMV creator, I STAND BY THOSE TRAITS WITH GREAT PRIDE! ^^

I can see where you could get that idea. We did discuss this video before we each posted. But just because our opinions are similar, doesn't mean one stole or copied the opinion from the other. We think alike, (as truly horrifying as that concept is :D ) so our opinions will have similarities.
