I'm gonna have to agree, they all suck. In my opinion, "n00b" isn't based on how long you've been in a particular place, it's more of a state of mind. I don't crack under fire, I swallow it and use it as ammo. Anyway, "n00b" to me, is just a person who says stupid things and doesn't know the rules. I know the rules...I just choose not to follow them :D So pretty much what I'm saying is, you KNOW all that shit I wrote was funny, you KNOW this guy's not gonna be here in another week, and you KNOW I kick ass  God I rule so much it scares me..

Hmm. Luke, Luke, Luke. How about a taste of your own medicine?

You wrote:I'm gonna have to agree, they all suck.

"Gonna" is not a word. You're just as "lazy" as the original poster. Also, can you say "comma splice"? You have an independent clause (I'm gonna have to agree) connected to another independent clause (they all suck) BY A COMMA! You need a coordinating conjunction, some sort of punctuation like a semicolon or period, or subordination to make this work.

You wrote:In my opinion, "n00b" isn't based on how long you've been in a particular place, it's more of a state of mind.

Ah, our good friend Mr. Comma Splice makes another entrance.

You display what could be considered as an improper use of an ellipsis. As the Harbrace Handbook states, the ellipsis can be used to mark an omission from a quoted passage or a reflective pause or hesitation, the book states that an ellipsis should not be overused. Also, you have no punctuation between "choose not to follow them" and "So pretty much." Also, you show improper use of capitalization. The Harbrace Handbook states that one should use caution when using capitalization for emphasis. Another improper use of an ellipsis also occurs here: to end the last sentence, you only use two periods.

If you are going to criticize the grammar of others, you should make sure that your grammar is spotless, as well.

I just know, however, after writing this, that someoen's going to find a grammatical error in my post!

Knew I'd do it. This sentence doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The correct sentence is as follows:

I should have wrote:Although the Harbrace handbook states that "the ellipsis can be used to mark an omission from a quoted passage or a reflective pause or hesitation," the book also states than an ellipsis should not be overused.

Also, I think I improperly used capitalization, as well, when I said that you separated two independent clauses "BY A COMMA!" So no one's perfect, but we needn't criticize the grammar of others if we can't get ours right. This means that I shouldn't have criticized your grammar. It's a twisted world.

Goodness gracious. I'm a moron. The second quote in my most recent post says "I should have wrote," which is wrong. It should be "I should have written." Oh, well.

Yeah, I noticed that, as well. Didn't want to make a ton of posts. BTW, that's not a misspelling, it's a typo. Doesn't say anything about my INTELLECT, it says something about my COORDINATION. I know a lot of people who are much more smart than they are coordinated.

That was a difficult one for me, actually. If I'd said "I know a lot of people who are much smarter than they are coordinated," I'd feel a bit weird for some reason...not sure exactly why that is.

And is the correct term "wide-open" or "wide open? I'm not entirely sure.
