Got my copy today! Woo... hey I'm quite happy with it! I love the content, of course, a lot of great work was in there... and come on, Rejected was in there. Ultimate props from me.
Seriously, though, I did notice the encode was not the best... sure better than anything I could do, though, so no complaints from me. I also noticed the mis-sync in some parts, so I find it strange that my own project synced so much better than the DV copy master sitting on my HD!
The packaging... well, ok, I'm a graphic designer so I could go on and on about how terrible this packaging was done. I mean, you're telling me I paid more than I should for a piece of paper with terribly matted dancing figures repeated constantly over the DVD menu? Folks... please, if there is anything you should learn from con brochures and DVD packaging, sometimes logos and a concept work better than just fan art on a Photoshop-filtered background. *sigh* Ok ok, I realize they did this for *free* (better have done it for free...) but I'm gonna make my own DVD cover for this, no question, cuz I'm a graphic designer... and an asshole.
I wonder why Scott's copy came in all damaged. Mine was sent out twice (once with no city and state on it... DUH) and delivered to the worst post office in NYC and yet everything look fine on the inside. Maybe a buff or two on the DVD. I expected that.
I'm upset there's no footage from the events themselves! What happened? How come no DV footage of the event? This DVD isn't legal in the first place so it's not like showing people's faces will really stir up disputes
Otherwise, awesome DVD contents, glad I was a part of the project.
