well.....premire handles divx in a shitty way beacuse guess what.....it isn't meant to be edited in in the first place. Any codec capable of high compression like divx, xvid or any other mpeg-4 codec isn't meant to be edited in. It is a "final" or "distribution" codec as it uses a lot of cpu processing power to decode the streams to begin with....add to that what premire is doing with it and you are left with poor performance.

I don't know why you seem so upset about all of this in the first place. You obviously came in here with very high expectations. With the attitude you are portraying no wonder no one helps you or leaves oppinions for your videos.

You should be doing this to have fun....not to get oppinions or be recognized. If you make good stuff.....they will come and leave oppinons....sometimes....if your lucky and they are feeling nice and bribe them :)

Get over yourself.

Thanks, Kai Stromler. I was wondering if my posts were invisible or something because it doesn't seem like Khameleon808 is reading them.

If you want ops then DO OPINION EXCHANGES IN THE EXCHANGE FORUM!!

I had none for the longest time and never knew why. That's because only the BEST (or WORST) videos posted get lots of ops, and most of mine are average. So simply go into the opinion exchange forum and post a thread stating you wanna trade opinions. People will reply, you'll get ops, simple as that.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

First of all your vids you have up for download aren't even anime, and second they've only been up for a week. The FFX one's have about 100 in a week which isn't bad at all, if they are good they will keep that pace.

If you had enough time to review 15 vids (as you say) at your friends, I think you have enough time to do a few from home.

As SSJ said, the only true way to get ops is using the exchange forum. I can't say anyone will exchange with non anime ones though, video game vids might though.

Dont get disscouraged man. Half the battle of getting your word out is social. Post, chat on AIM (I know alot of us are always on, and are more than happy to chat :)

It took me a year of whoring myself and multiple forums and submitting videos to as many cons as I could for the 6 people who know who I am to get that way ;)

In any case, its all about the videos anyways, dont let slow initial response throw you.

A good piece of advice though (that has been given before in this thread, but Ill say it again), the best way to get opinions is to give them. There are many many threads started in the opinion exchange forum for opinion swapping, and when people offer to trade, their vids will more than liely be online and not dead links. Go check out Omnistrata's threads, or Hitori or MJ, I'm sure they would be more than happy to give you some constructive feedback.

And also, please dont think that if sombody has made a name for themselves and dosnt go out and review everyone's vids that they are "elitist". I've met about 90% of these guys (some more briefly than others), and let me tell you man, these are all great guys just doing their thing.

Anyways, good luck, take care, and dont get mad, just figure out why what is happening is happening ;)

This is when your member name was made and you mean to tell me you haven't been able to find the time to write 1 opinion since? I can't stand hypocrites that demand opinions without even having the courtesy to give some. What is this "other" user name that was doing all the opinion giving for you anyway? :?

How many opinions have you given? :? Like I always say, if you wanna get opinions, you have to be willing to give some. It's as simple as that.

Bah, it's called being "a nice guy..."
There's MANY here who are "good" and are willing to honestly [not shred] your opinions with constructive criticism. [once again, thanks to ErMaC and icechai...]

I'll opinionate your videos, though I don't think my reputation here is "elite..."

If you think I'm elite, please say "Omni does NOT suck..."

Thank you and if you want an opinion, go to the opinions forum and place one op request in threads that are offering freebies. (If I was hosting, I'd do an exchange, but since only one of my vids [in Singapore no less] is up, most people won't be giving me any... :( ]

and YES, there's MANY of us giving out "free opinions".

I've got a question for you "Mr. Noob..."

How long do you think it takes to become "not new"?

^_^

If you answered a certain number, that's EXACTLY how long it will take YOU to do it.

I didn't really get recognized till "Feel the Rhythm" got underway...

Give it time. [took me 4 freakin' noob videos to stop sucking...]

If you don't have that, then don't waste our time. Thank you and once again, there's free ops being given in the opinion exchange. DON'T BEG!

Making videos for "da fans"? I know EXACTLY how you feel...

Because when doing things the wrong way with the right program doesn't work, why bother to learn to do things the right way with the right program, when you can just go back to using something far more limiting and primitive?

I guess I can see why you're kinda mad. But...

Khameleon808 wrote:i dont care what anyone thinks of my vids, it was just some shit i did to waste some time, and what a waste of time it turned out to be

Well do you have any idea just how many videos are made with that same attitude? And then submitted here? Too damn many. Sure, it's a catalog, it's supposed to have all these AMVs. But to expect people to just d/l every vid they come across is unreasonable. Why spend time d/ling vids if you just get this random piece of crap? Me, I'm on 56k so it takes a while to d/l AMVs. I don't like to take my chances, that's just my preference.

About opinions. I believe they should be given if it was a video you particularly like. For me, at least, because I write very long opinions. And it is useful to have opinions very accurately explaining whether the video is good or not, but it's hard to write developed opinions for a bad video.

Misty, you have to make him mad to get him to reply to your posts.

weeeeelllll.....I'm not saying this to make him mad, or to be mean....but I am giving my honest opinion. That fast and furious video was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Probably not so much the editing as the whole movie/concept.

We all know that the board is full of bit*hs and Basta*ds, If I were you Khameleon, I'll get to the know the people on the board first, THEN I post the vids, I'm sure that others get more hits because people know them and feel that their videos are worth the time, you've got to advertise, go all out, shove it up everyone's throats :D , for me, I've got enough hits already, hosting Tainted Donuts :D
