Hosting at Anime Connection.net

Okay, this is the entire list of features that comes with the account, as you can see, this was meant for corporate use but I jury rigged it for AMV and webhosting. The price can be negotiated, I'm charging somewhere between US$7 to $10 per month, I'm running this to keep my site alive and not so much for profit. You can pay by Paypal or you can send in cheques (a little more risky and expensive). I'm also the official hoster for Tainted Donuts (Look at Eric Korbet's profile) so you don't need to worry, I'm quite reliable. Support is also not a problem, I check my e-mail more than 3 times a day and I have a forum if you guys want to drop a question. I will be happy to host for you, if you are interested, you can e-mail me at gottaname@animeconnection.net

Just a note, the bandwidth speed is OC-12 Local and 26Mbps internationally, all features share the same space in your account.
I can also provide Additonal Webmail accounts and FTP accounts at no charge, but like I said, they will take up your account space.

I am also a reseller now for the same host, so if anybody wants space cheaper, let me know :) jk... but anyway, a price war would be beneficial to the community, don't you think? Your secret is out...

Nope, dude, you're the one at loss, Singapore is my homeland, it's home ground so I have the home advantage. And besides, by signing up with a Singaporean Webhoster, which means that you're investing money into the Singaporean Economy, I salute you for that! It means more edusave bursaries for me :). And, I can always change hosts, the hoster I have isn't the only hoster with good prices... once my tenture finishes, I may considering showing my old hoster (The Counter-Strike Guy), he said he wanted proof and if I could do it, he will host me for $50 a month for 1000GB, good luck Pr0crastin8r, 'cause you've. been. had.

And you're dependence on me is a sure sign of weakness, I will exploit it ruthlessly and unconditionally.

not sure what you're talking about. i thought you were in this to help the community? not sure what you will try to exploit "ruthlessly and unconditionally," since we were never allies, nor are we enemies. i was only kidding about the price wars. and with TGD right on the horizon, $50 for 1gb is nothing new.

"i've been had," eh? were you out to "get" me in the first place? still don't see where you were coming from. you only wanted me to "partner" with you so you'd end up paying less money... now that i'm not sharing the cost, you've become bitter :) i dont think i'm the one who's been "had..." YOUR cat is out of the bag, not mine, now others can benefit :)

Where did all this junk about people hosting vids come from anyway? It seems like simultaneously 3 new video hosting services have come into being and they all seem to be pissed at each other... as if they are battleing for control of some kind of a paying community. Now, Im not as mistrustful as some of my more cynical friends, but Im starting to wonder if what they have been telling me for the past two weeks might be true. Why are you (specificly Gottaname) advertising this so heavily? Your not out to make a profit, but youve now made.. what.. 4 threads regarding your service. If it truely is a service for the comunity with no real benefit to you, what does it matter if people are interested or not?
Im not attacking you, and I think that all AMV provision is a great service to the comunity, I just want to know what your all getting at here.

Well nothing, I just really pissed off that someone invaded my host, not that I don't want to share but actually tricked me into giving it away.

Tricked you? You must be kidding.

First of all, when you offered a partnership, it sounded all fine and happy and I actually WAS considering it, before I realized that I would have no creative control or say-so in how things happened, thus making it nothing but a way for you to ease the initial cost.

Second of all, sure, you did tell me that the site was in Singapore, but that would have only helped me if I had continued searching the way that I had been (you know what I am talking about). When I asked my sysadmin friend to find out for me, it took him a matter of about 3 minutes to find the host (not using normal trace methods), without knowing that it was in Singapore.

You were not tricked into giving anything away-- I found the site by my own methods.
