Most of the better ones are made by older people.

As people grow older, mature, and develop their sense of design and style, they are able to more adequately create and express themselves.

Obviously, you're simply too young to appreciate that people improve as they grow older.
"If someone feels the need to 'express' himself or herself with a huge graphical 'singature' that has nothing to do with anything, that person should reevaluate his or her reasons for needing said form of expression, possibly with the help of a licensed mental health practitioner."

Haha, look at Kevin Caldwell, Matrix.

Guys, wasn't Kevin somewhere in his 40's when he stopped? I plan to keep making vids, and right now I'm only 11, so you can't pity me. Like jbone said, as you get older, you mature and your sense of design and style develops.

It isn't like many of us had the technology and software we do now when in middle and high school. Besides, most of you ankle biters really miss out when it comes to the economic freedom of visiting cons and participating first hand with AMV contests

Says the probable 15 year old with a triple combo Dragonball whatever avatar, name, AND website (which mommy and daddy are probably fronting the cash for).

Hey, quick, Buffy's on, better turn down the Staind and change the channel from the Cartoon Network!

hey, dont dis CN, homeslice.

im 15, my videos suck balls. i suspect its because i have no experience and no steady cash flow to put into making videos, which i would have if i was, say, over 20...and had a job.

Another one bites the dust :?

Which reminds me....I'm not 20 yet. I'm still only 19. But then again, I've only been into video editing for 3 years now. 4 years come summer.

But I'm still happy my daddy MJ is an anime fan! Without him, I don't know where I'd be.

Thank MJ!! (Daddy)

I'd hate to think what this person must think of someone over 30 and still making music videos!

Ahhh c'mon. There's people around 40 dressing up to go to Star Trek conventions after furiously studying the Kling-on "language" and you criticize these people for making some AMVs even if they aren't out of college. Also keep in mind that people can develop that talent into a career. And it is just a hobby, so it's not surprising at all if you think about it.
