AMV Cribs 2k6 - Summer Edition

Post by Kionon » Thu Jun 22, 2006 3:11 am

It's that time again... Well, I say it's that time again. Why? Well, many of us are, or just were, students. Others have just moved or rearranged. I graduated, moved to another state, AND rearranged. Point is, our rig areas look different already, and to staisfy both the techno-exhibitionist and the texhno-voyeur in me, I submit to you the start of the AMV Cribs 2k6 - Summer Edition.

That's a LCD HD 50' in the background that is hooked up to my computer.. pretty bad ass to use when editing.. up front is a 20' in monitor.. DVDrs on table, and fear install CDs shown in box behind my computer, Altec Lansing Speakers.. bike seat peaking out from behind computer

not shown 4 external harddrives on floor(3 300gb 1 200gb)

Your set up looks more for editing than mine.

You joined yesterday. That's pretty much all there is to it.

MexicanJunior used a craptastic sputtering e-machine to make several of his best, including his awesome Service with a Smile video.

it's exactly the same as it's been for the last few years, lol... only a few differences... just cosmetic mostly...

Mine's pretty basic--19" LCD, tower, keyboard, mouse, microphone, two speakers+subwoofer (which half the time isn't even plugged in because of Teamspeak--the sub makes some peoples voices way too loud), and a pair of headphones to switch out when I need to be quiet. My system was built for gaming rather than editing--but it works well for both 8-)

Kionon: How loud is that tower? I was thinking about getting one like that (didn't for various reasons).

You mean Hotaru? Mmm... She's fairly quiet. Much quieter than my previous PCs. However, I have a lot in her. I have a creative soundblaster, an ATI all in wonder radeon 8500 DV, and 200GB of harddrive space. Ocassionally she wurrs, but even during heavy processing she just kind of sounds like she's breathing.

Minako is silent.

Just out of curiousity, what is the purpose of having two monitors?
