I'm gonna have to agree with Joe, in that the review system here definately needs some work. Unfortunately as much as I believe this, I don't have some sort of awesome solution that will solve everything. While the 10's across the board give me a nice ego boost, they don't leave me any room to learn about what worked and what didn't work about one of my videos. The average score on this site was something around an 8, so giving someone a 7 is considered a bad score. Now, perhaps I'm a bit crazy, but on a scale from 1 to 10, 5 should be the average score, 10 should be amazing and brilliand, and 1 should be downright aweful. This is obviously not the case with this site.
What I really wanted to bring up is another review site that is similar in scope as this, but much bigger, and that'd be IMDB. They have people rate movies on a scale from 1 to 10, and manage to actually get an average of around 5. I'm almost inclined to say that giving the option to just give an overall rating to a video in it's simplicity might cause people to think a bit more about the scale and how they want to score it. Then again, thumbs up, neutral or thumbs down is probably about as simple as one can get, but you get less interesting looking scores in my opinion.
Still, the thing to remember is that animemusicvideos.org is supposed to be an online database of as many anime music videos as possible. Aspects such as the forums, the review capability, the journals are all secondary, though they should all contribute to enjoyment of this hobby in general.
