Hard work or talent?

It's actually more of good looks.

3d studio max, and a whole lot of freetime. I see that as what will have people clame to be the thing that makes the next "great" amvs.

Here's the real deal there' some talent here but not on some super level. I do not beleave that AMVs have gotten to where they should be.

Call it genius call it egotism, call it whatever. Though in the end, when everything is said and done. The future amvs look to this time as ether the start or the golden time. Much rather this just be the start, everone needs work to really work out their talents still. Impressed with people here, i'm not and i include myself in that area.

There has been mabye 10 editors total that are even close. 10 out of these 6 years in of animemusicvideos.org. When somone gets there i'll tell you but until then, i'm just going to sit back and wait.

Some have gotten close, but no one is there yet.

I think that everyone who makes anything worth a damn worked hard to do it.

All talent is is the ceiling of what you are capable of. Those with talent are capable of lots more than those without it. Thats kind of an absolutist and elitist view, but there you have it.

I see it as kind of being the other way around, those with talent don't have to work nearly as hard to create something great. Talent is kind of a starting point/learning curve indicator if anything. Ambition/work ethic come into play after that.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Talent without hard work is talent wasted.

Hard work by someone with little talent is effort wasted.

I'm quite surprised at some of the things I'm now great at when I originally sucked at them... so hard work.. huge perspective thinking(million ways to look at any one thing) and you'll achieve a lot more than you or anyone else though possible.. so just to let you know.. a lot of things you may suck at now you may be able to get a lot better at later if you try hard enough and not give up on yourself.

How about "a mistaken view that all AMVs need pomp and flash"?
