I do have a copy of the Documentaries CD that Mindwarp Entertainment passed out at AWA this year. Check it out at http://homepage.mac.com/red_wolf/Distro ... .html#cd12

I myself have seen a few CDs that I want. But thanks to college cosuming most of my time....I keep forgetting about sending the CDs to the DC.

But I did want to ask you Red Wolf...What about DVDs? I have an A-KON 13 DVD Version (High Quality) for normal DVD-Rs. Is the DC going to be coping DVDs soon? Once you do, I can send in a Copy of AKON-13 to you for Distro.

I've primarily just been lazy about it. I've looked through the list a few times and said "Hey, that might be nice to have." but haven't ever been enthusiastic enough to send in discs for things.

I think the idea of making compilations of videos from con contests is a great idea- especially if people send in their higher-quality copies. I'd be quite happy to send in DVD-quality copies of any videos I enter into contests for contest compilations.

Hey Red Wolf, on the documentaries, you forgot to list the Anime Expo 2002 Doc. I know that one was on the CD I gave you. A small update tid-bit :D

Oh yeah, and I'll see about getting Red Wolf a copy of the DDR1 Project Documentary VCD.
I have no idea how to use this new forum.

I feel sending away for a CD request (sending CD-R, getting SASE together) is at least a hassle for me. Maybe I'm just lazy. But I would definitely request a CD if it could be more like a fansub distro site. Where people order CDs (only paying for the CD-Rs and shipping) maybe making payments by paypal or something. But I don't know, this may be just a bit of stretch of an idea, but if someone could figure out how to arrange something like that, I would be requesting AMV CDs left and right.

Firstly, I haven't heard about the Distribution until now. Secondly, I download super-fast, thanks to my T1 line. By the time the CD gets to me, I'll likely already have reviewed the video and burned it onto my own CD collection. Thirdly, I don't trust my roommates to deliver an AMV CD to me without looking at what it is first... <.<; And they have a less than stellar track record of how they handle their CDs.

So, well those are my reasons. Sorry I don't really think I'll be using your nice service to get videos. I think it's nice that you are willing to take the time to do this, though. ^_^

To answer your question RedWolf,
I've already seen (and collected) much of what I want to see (i.e. the best of the lot). And as most everybody has pointed out, it is simply faster/easier to download videos.

However, in spite of "The Golden Donut's" promise for video hosting, your service still merits existance - for those who do not have hosting. As mentioned, it may take some time for requests to come in so wait and see.

I have thought about submitting to your service but I'd like to have some new material before doing so. And possibly to coincide with the reason why no body is requesting CDs is because WE editors don't have anything new yet. Everything we've already released has been online to some degree, either by hosting site or P2P.

I really suggest a option to pay for a disc and shipping. I would be willing to grab a disc, but it's just alot of trouble to get a CD, get a envelope big enough to hold a evenlope inside a evenlope that can hold a CD, then adressing two envelopes. :\

If I could just pay a $1 fee + $0.50/per CD, then I'd be much more willing to do so. Also if it could be down over paypal or something, that would be much sweeter.

Just have everyone agree to a contract that states that there is a fee based system and a SASE system as well. It's just alot more convient to send $1.50 rather then to spend the $1.50 and then the time getting supplies.
