 I have noticed that Amv is not always making thier donation goals.
Just a thought.
Why not see about a show on something like that on MTV or another music video station like that.
Obviously their are many people that like AMVs and it would bring this form of art to a much broader network of people I know that this is not to make extra money but for the site to go on and with donation goals not being met I think this would be a great way to introduce new people and new support for the site. I hope that some of the AMV directors that have posted their work on this site will agree.
Also knowing that Videogames and Anime are growing in the western part of the world that there might be some weight to this thought.
Please feel free to voice your opinion I might be wrong or right but in the end it is up to the site owner(s) to decide

AMV directors? What a fucking JOKE. And about having AMV on MTV.. that would instantly drop whatever coolness this site has managed to retain onto the back of a fucking city waste management truck, and disposed of in a biohazard site along with all the used needles and broken condoms.

Not only that, but then we'd definitely have to worry about the legality of it. AMVs are a gray area as is, and broadcasting them on a for-profit station would certainly require us to get the rights to use all the footage and the songs.

Nothing wrong with PBS. A lot of the shit on there is just as interesting, if not better, than the crap on network and cable TV.

I doubt they'd go for it, though.

true but there are few people out there that like to use a free site up till it is gone. Why not have a way to expose new people to the site and briing in new life to it but it is also two fold cause the anime and videogame developers also get a good free resource of advertisement.

its not a matter of being "cool" its a matter of being SHUT DOWN... AMVs are a huge legal GREY area, in other words the only reason we are able to get away with them is because no one has complained, if we put them too much in the limelight then people might start to complain. or they might "have to" complain...

and come on whats his name's cousin cant search for REAL MVs without bumping into one of us, so we cant be THAT underground.
