Seeing a video that's audio and/or video source has been done to death but pulls it off perfectly.

The slamming impact of an idea that makes you wonder why it hasn't been done already or why you didn't think of it years ago.

Taking that idea and completing it to it's fullest potential!

Finding a song/watching an anime that you haven't heard/seen in years.

Finding a song/watching an anime that you've heard/seen tons of times in videos and FINALLY managed to get it for yourself. :3

Feeling better after watching a few episodes of a good anime.

Finding a dub that's superior to the sub.

I really like seeing AMVs where the music fits the mood of the anime, not per say the exact "What's happening," of a song, which can get annoying if the video's discontinuitous so that the anime just matches up to the song. Personally I'd prefer seeing something where the anime and the music mesh together to make a video, rather than the usual "OMGXOR TEH üB3RR EDITOXR IS jOO!" for someone who can listen to a second of the song, hear "Car," then find a scene of a car. Sadly, I think I'm guilty of doing this a bit too much.

Also, I like fanservice.

Most importantly though, I like origionality.

I like it most when people realize what Zaenith realizes.

I understand you're looking for a mentor, Zae, and I'll just let you know that I do give in-depth help with After Effects to members of my studio. I just need to know if you're talented enough with editing to show that. If you don't think I'm capable of helping you, take a look at some of newest stuff.

I like when I leave an opinion that may have come off as "not so nice" and the person replies with "OMG THANK YOU!" and not only appreciates the advice, but also works to improve on AMVs... AND DOES IMPROVE! That is wonderful! Even if I dont have much advice to give, its nice to see other editorers actually take people's advice and work to improve Smile

I love seeing a polite well spoken newbie. I feel like standing up and aplauding them just for having a reasonable grasp of the english language, a modicum of comon sense, and a touch of human decency.

I love seeing a clever, well thought out or meaningful title.

I love the feeling of releasing a new video.

I like seeing forum regulars answering questions, even if the person should have figured it out using the guides.

I like seeing friends responding to each others posts.

I like brown paper packages tied up with string. Especially if they are addressed to me.

I like good topics in general AMV.

These quotes surely are things I really like, but there's surely more. I like talk with intelligent/human people about Amvs, I like this type of discussion, I also like read well wrote opinions, I love the critics, and I love hear what the people think of my works, that's always something special. I also like to be of any help to anyone. I love to see how people realize how to do something with my help, as I done by myself in the beginning. :D I love when editors helps each other. And there's also more :P

I love you guys!

I'd like to thank the Academy... Oh, wait. Nevermind.

I love seeing criticism that doesn't erupt into a flamewar.

I love seeing intellectual conversation around here.

I love the new anti-necroposting system.

I love the feeling of an idea realized, however imperfectly.

I love the feeling of a new idea, the white-hot track across my soul (to borrow from Pratchett).

I love seeing an AMV that completely changes my mind about a character or series.

I love posting a question and actually getting meaningful answers back.

I love seeing someone else post a question and being able to help them.

I love doing a search of some random song or series and actually finding a decent video to it.

I love it when you finally get that lip-syncing to work.

I love it when I burn a CD and realize that over half the music comes from AMVs that I've seen.

I love being able to procrastinate on my work because one AMV is "just 3 or so minutes..."
Yeah, the AMV thesis....that was me.

- Finding a thread that comepletely pulls me out of my lurker-dom.

- Driving with the radio and playing the "What anime would go with this song?" game.

- Learning how to improve my video-making

- When I actually KNOW something that can help someone o_O *is so unknowledgable*

- The happy way video editing gives me warm fuzzies in my tummy ^_^

- When the people I show my betas to actually tell me things that can make my video better, instead of just placating me.

I like, after not watching any videos for a while opening the AMV folder and getting hooked all over again.

I like leaving OPS, and finding out that it might have helped inspire someone to make more, better videos.

I like sentimental videos that leave me that pleasant "this is nice" smile on my face.

I like reading the replies on OPS that I give.

I like reading sarcastic comments by forum regulars that perfectly sumarize what I was thinking, but said it better than I could.

I like hot chocolate on a cold night.

I like watching a video that is so expertly made that it surpasses anything I'd find on a DVD.

I like that technogods still respond to PM's politely, and actually help when asked.

I like watching videos by noobs that might not be technically great, but you can still tell that a lot of feeling and effort went into it.

I like reading the cryptic journal entries and trying to figure out what the hell they are going on about, and trying to decode some of the weird spelling tendencies.

I like reading when people have left er... "creative ops" on my videos.

I like running into an AMV in which the music/anime combination hits right on. Sometimes these are from creators with not that much experience which clearly shows up.. making me want to see if they will improve later on.

..and with my own creations. Times when something I made brings out comments like this:
<Px32> is this some kind of unknown disease that forces you to do those things? :D
