Which After Effects plugins do ya dig?

Postby requiett » Fri Sep 30, 2005 7:20 am

This is for the heavy users of AE. I don't want hear anything from you lightweights or users of Magix and that other stuff. I can tell guys like Akross are major pimps when they use Digieffects Delirium (like 90% of their stuff uses), but I'm curious about some of the rarer and possibly very useful plugs out there.

What? People using inferior editing tools to make vids superior to your pathetic After Effects? :P :P :P

Well, to answer the question, I use Particle Illusion 3.1 to buffer stuff in AE but it helps stuff in AP too.

I've found RE:flex by RE:vision to be really useful.

Cycore's probably the most useful set I've indulged in so far. I whored some of its stuff (MR MERCURY) in my last vid.

I like Aged Film of whatever it was called. Too bad I never used it for a video.

The Cycore stuff is definately totally useful (though I don't consider it so much a plugin anymore, now that its included in AE)
Trapcode shine and particular are also pretty nice.

I always hated digieffects because their plugins are all insanely slow.

With the good amount of work and knowledge (and tutorials), with particular by Trapcode you can do EVERYHING. I just ended testing it for three weeks before understand how to create what I wanted, working on it lately during 10 hours of continous work. Trapcode's Plugs are really spendful, but they're worth it.

This thread is really interesting, I downloaded a trial of Panopticum Water Plug-in, it's like mr.mercury, only 10000 times more complex and correlated with water, I'm not interested in it but it's really professional.

Extremely true.. Like Digieffects, they are extremely slow. It's a pain work with them sometimes.
