Where have all the good ones gone.

Postby James Sharp » Tue Jun 28, 2005 12:26 am

Over my time with a-m-v.org (a very small amount of time) in comparison to others. I have run into many Extremly Helpful Creators... mostly in the forums. and other such places... I have now just returned for a few days from an absence of about 3 months. after this post i willl be leaving for another 4 months. while that amazing amount of time without any internet will be tough i have one thing that is bothering me...im not seeing very
of the old users that have once helped me....I SAY BRING BACK THE OLD SCHOOL!!!!! WHO IS WITH ME??
Close calls are always the most exciting. Coming close is always the most dissapointing.

My newest vid:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=98816
I welcome any and all advice on how i can improve

Who do you mean? Most of the really helpful folks I know of, with a few possible exceptions, are still around and kicking ass

I'm not.
I say that maybe you should broaden your horizons. Just because an editor isn't 'old school' doesn't have to mean that they aren't good editors.... :?
There has to be a 'new school' or everyone will graduate, leaving no future for AMV's.

I think he means 'old school' editors. Maybe mention who they are? Also, if they're not here, how would you bring them back?

He wasn't (necessarily) talking about good editors, he was talking about helpful ones.

I'm old school.

I was the first member on this site to reach 100+ reviews for one of my videos. Also, my gen x vid is 330 on the database. Thats pretty much old school.

o.O oh my.

And Mr. Sharpe...in the few days that you've been poking around have you even tried asking anyone for help? Old memberships do not equal expert and vice versa.
