I'm not sure but I don't think the .org journals were originally meant for day to day life but rather keeping fans updated on video progress and what not amv related.

And don't I know it   (j/k)

Anyway, sometimes I read other peoples journals plain and simply because boredom creeps in here sometimes and editing just isn't on my current list of things I 'want' to do. That or life is even more boring for the time being... or it's 4 in the morning and my sister will kill me if I bug her to go to the cinemas and give me free movies (she works for the cinema) :P

I use my journal for a personal ranting space to blow off steam.. mostly. Others' journal entries I read out of curiosity when I ran into less known good creator, to kill some time or if there's a journal entry from a familiar nick on main page.

I write in my journal quite a bit actually...

:?
"Strength lies in action. Let the weak react to me..." - Kamahl, Pit Fighter from Magic: the Gathering
"That is a mistake many of my enemies make. They think before they act. I act before I think!" - Vortigern from Merlin ('98)
"I AM REBORN!" - Dark Schneider Bastard!! OAV

Ahh... that explains it then! Whew, good thing I didn't let my ego get fired up there.

That's what I'm here for.

How much of a lifeless loser does one have to be to spend time reading the day-to-day concerns of a spoiled child who's having trouble getting inspiration for their next "big" project synching Nar-Nar to to Linkin Bizkit Nails' newest album? I know AMVs are a childish pursuit, but this is ridiculous. Everyone knows AMVs are a funky little hobby, so quit getting so fucking intellectual over the whole thing.

If you're trying to be a great editor in the first place, writing about what you fucking ate for lunch and complaining about how "oppressive" your parents are being to you are going to go a long way in killing whatever mystique you have as a member of the AMV community.

If you regularly wrote this type of thing in your journal I'd subscribe to it...

Well, I sometimes read journals. Some are really interesting.
I also write in my journal, but I write strange things in it, I write in it when I'm feeling very unhappy. I'm not sure if anyone reads my journal (well, two members told me that they've read it).
