I'll try to get at least 5 at a time (unless i'm getting a vid spicifically from a creator I follow) and begin to watch. If fullscreen produces a horible quality I shrink the window and go into perterbed anylitical mode. If it dosn't peak my interest enough to continue watching (which would be anything that has subs, horrible/no synch, or no real flow I immediately close it and either add it to torture pile (honest OP folder) or Simply delete it. Any vid that gets deleted before i can finish it gets a 1.

Having such high standards (and a harddrive that always seems to be shrinking), I usually keep only the best videos i download and often show them to friends whenever i fee the need to. Most are willing to watch some AMVs even if they're not really into anime that much because i tend to only show them the crem de la crem as it were.

The device i use is an older Dell notebook, so the viewing angle is tad problimatic for group viewing. To remedy that, i keep all my AMVs on an external HDD that can be just plugged into anyone's computer that has a better viewing situation than mine.

Usually just leave WMP in its window and set the video to fit the screen, instead of fullscreen, and either have my headphones on or listen at a medium tone with the speakers

Only sometimes when I watch a video that I really like, or am showing to someone else do I put an AMV at fullscreen.. and turn up the volume..

Full Screen on the PC, and sometime I watch them on the TV, cause I burned them, and well I love my player cause it reconized it.

I do watch with my younger brother who is into making AMV's. I just got my 4 year old neice into watching Anime, and AMV's. There is nothing like a child jumping up and down for you to put in a good Anime, and then screaming for me to play it in Japanese. Brings a trear to my eye everytime.

Well, I usuually watch one right after I download it when just downloading AMV's.

I also enjoy putting them in the background while I surf the internet or whatnot, for some ambient noise. up until I switched from Windows Media POlayer to Winamp, I would use the nifty little toolbar to view a miniscreen of the vids while I surfed.

If I get in the mood I will have my session, usually involving fullscreening, lights out (to prevent glare), and about half hour to an hour.

when I am at college I bring my laptop and keep it fullscreened in the lounge area with the sound pumped up (it has a built in subwoffer so the default sound is surprisingly good for a laptop) and let it run while I talk with my friends.

and then I almost always have my favorite's list running just as I go to bed, helps me go to sleep. ;)
Look at me! Look at me! I posted in WOT so I must be evil!!! [/sarcasm]

Look at my new video!

I usually watch AMVs when I'm trying to avoid work in some way (like those 5 papers and the design project looming over my head right now...). Nothing inspires interest in AMVs like avoidance.

I usually several in a row. Often start with my favorites or ones I haven't watched in a while. If I'm really trying to avoid something, I'll download new ones (I don't even want to think how many I've downloaded in the last week....).

Basically watch in whatever size it is with speakers. I'll only put on headphones if I'm trying to disturb my roommates. Said roommates think I'm crazy anyway... :?
Yeah, the AMV thesis....that was me.

Beowulf wrote:My usual watching experience is either by myself or with Wonka. I crank up the volume, maximize the screen, and turn out the lights. I try to make it as theatrical as possible. I usually watch about 5-10 videos in a single sitting and have 1 or 2 sittings in a day.

Do you watch videos alone? With friends? How loud? Headphones? At night time?

I watch alone mostly and in my defaul WMP Classic (fullscrean or not, it depends on how much I like the thing) cuz I watch a TON of videos (well not so many anymore as I found a life ;p) and I try to review every one I see. However I don't review videos right after I watch them. I wait a day to review them then I watch them in Sasami2k, full screan again. I use Sasami2k specifically here cuz it doesn't obstruct my vision when I'm being criticle ;p unfortunateley there's no timer on the thing but...
