DDR Project 4 - 5th Mix... potential seeds?

This forum is for the general discussion of Anime Music Videos.

Why not upload it on the donut? Make a separate account for DDR and try uploading all versions. Maybe in this case the 100MB size limit shouldn't be taken into account and just make a 700 MB LOCAL instead. Since you're an admin. I see no problem why you shouldn't do this except maybe you're not the one that can configure the limit in the first place.

I'm not too familiar with the donut's possibilities, just making a suggestion here.

There are plans for local hosting of multi-editor projects once we buy the new storage servers.

Of course I could use the donut server right now, I have that ability but it wouldn't be right. I'm not going to go and abuse my admin status by having local hosting for just this one project; that's not fair on the other projects out there that would also appreciate the hosting.

I'll definitely seed for at least two or three days once I have all of the file. I did for at least two days on the files of the first three projects a few months ago, and there's no particular reason for me to cut it off (so I COULD do it for more than three days if you want). My connection is usually pretty stable and I've seen as much as 85 kB/s upload (though usually it's slower than that... like 20 to 30 once I have a reasonable-sized chunk or the file... before that, it's really slow).

P.S. - I was meaning to post this last night, but then I had dinner and completely forgot about it. Also, the only reasons for me to cut it off quickly would be if we lost power or internet (not very common) or if I wanted to download something else via bittorrent and thought it was slowing me down. This won't happen as I'm not really into any fansubs right now. ^^;

I already have the 3 previous projects on the 2 DVD's, so I won't need to download the entire 4 projects. I guess when I download the DDR 4 5th mix torrent, I can convert it to DVD, and create the tracks myself.

I should have no problems with seeding- my cable connection tends to surprise me with how fast it can run at times, and with it getting cooler having my secondary box running all the time will help warm my apartment. :wink:

Depending on your connection, it can be that fast. I have a 1024Kbps cable connection, and my download speed tops out at 128KB/s, however, my upload is 128Kbps, so it maxes out at 12KB/s.

Most DSL speeds are from 1.5Mbps (192KB/s) to around 5Mbps (640KB/s) download. I would guess that upload ranges from the slow 128KB/s to around 1Mbps (128KB/s)

Ack... That would be 128Kbps not KB/s on that last sentence.

I would guess that upload ranges from the slow 128KB/s (should be 128Kbps) to around 1Mbps (128KB/s)
