Which is why, while the anime distributors can't
endorse the creation of AMV's, have proven quite willing to turn a blind eye to them. Hooray for free advertising.

Alliance no doubt sees it differently, event though AMV's can and do have the the same effect for music as anime, and large, cumbersome video files are a really lousy way to get hold of a song.
