One word: Odorikuruu.

AMVs such as that make me feel better after I've watched them. So my own vids have taken that route, happy stuff that supposed to make someone feel better after getting stomped on by life's unfairness.

Then you realize, hey, it's all good! :D

It's all his fault.

Basically after seeing what AMVs he was sending me and attending the contest at Otakon 2003 in which he was participating in...I was basically starting to feel left out. I signed up but the only thing I could do for the place was make banners. I had WMM to use but nothing but fansubs to work with. Then when Evangelion fell into my hands....the rest was history.

Well this is what got me into amvs

Postby conspheretrix » Mon Jul 26, 2004 10:18 pm

it might sound strange but here it goes. This girl blind folded me, and told me to go into the house and get a bannana. I dont kno why she wanted that, maybe she wanted to put it up somewhere or she was hungry. Well instead of getting a bannana from the kitchen, I went online and ordered a bananna, but instead of ordering it online, i downloaded a music video. All I could hear was the music, but then this ray of light came in, and I could see the anime and hear the music at the same time. Ever since then I could see with my eyes closed. Thats what got me into amvs.

Just kidding. I watched an amv from www.dbzwarriors.com (not sure if its around) and i luved it, and then i just told people that i made it. Just kidding. lol.
My best amv: <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?v=68065">The Will To Live</a> - Won third place for Serious/Sentimental in a <a href="http://www.freewebs.com/neko_studios/">Neko Studios Contest</a>

Mine isn't as...interesting as some of these. Anyway, about a year ago this time, actually, my friend was downloading some AMVs off Kazaa, and showed them to me. All DBZ ones, and not particularily great either. And I thought about the various video equipment and software I had laying around and finally, something useful to do with it all. Pieced together my first video(and the only one I have posted thus far), finishing just before AWA 9.

Mind you, I didn't find this place till a month after, so I had no real clue on distribution codecs or anything, and my quality standards were based on Kazaa stuff. I kicked the ass of all those videos my friend had downloaded though.

So now I'm into AMVs, working on one for AWA Expo showing, having finally learned enough to make a video that doesn't look like crap in final distribution. Having a Mac meant I didn't have so many options and control as PC users get for free. I manage though.

Saw some AMVs a friend showed me, decided to make one. Ended up making them at the end of the 2 VCR method so the switch to digital wasn't to bad. Though i am probubly one of the reasons people stress things like frame rate (Which is the reason my earlier videos arent for DL).
This has no relevence to the discussion above it

Phade did. I was in broadcasting classes at the time, anyhow, met Phade online, got his Nabiki video, decided I could do something like it with my mad broadcast skillz. Blame him. I do.

Woah, just noticed the date on some of the previous posts. Necroposting in the extreme. Not my fault this time though. >_> Mods can do what they need to do.
