Using Japanese song for AMV... possible?

Post by Conco » Mon Sep 09, 2002 1:26 am

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, but what does everyone think about AMV that use Japanese songs? Im pretty new to this AMV thing, I so far I have not heard a music video with a Japanese song.

Thanks for reading,

Great if it works well for your idea. Some very well known videos use Japanese (or other languages) songs.

Lol, you can also cheat and sync the lyrics to anything because most people won't know Japanese (ok... well I surely won't).

:) Best of luck! 8)

Klinky made a WTC tribute vid using a Japanese song. Off the "Now and Then, Here and There" soundtrack.

It's been done several times, search around the video listings and you'll find a bunch.

I like them honestly. You can use any language song for an AMV for all I care, they can always work. The only trick is (I used a russain song so I know these problems) that it is harder to convey a lyric match since a lot of people will not understand the lyrics to your song. BUt as long as the concept is solid you can still make a really good AMV with any language.
