I never bad mouthed Canada, I simply saw you bad mouthing the US, so I decided to argue.
On top of that we already ousted the Taliban, with very reasonable civilian causalties. The Northern Alliance Ground forces moved in while we did our best to bomb only military targets (I know we can't do this perfectly, but what would you have done?). The Taliban ran quickly, and now we've given the nation its old government back. Basically, theres no more need for bombing, the Taliban are hiding in the mountains, and all the UN forces are doing is keeping them there. There aren't any civilian populations in danger that I know of anymore.
What would you have done to get rid of the Taliban?
About the Isreal/Weapons thing. Uhhhhh... I don't think you understand what you're saying. Bush is pushing for the Isrealis to win. If he wanted the damn conflict to do on he'd sell weapons to BOTH sides. That and he's not even selling weapons to the Isrealis, he's giving them "Financial Support". Therefore its actually a finacial sink for the US. Which is one of the main reasons Bush is looking for a quick ending (which he feels will be the defeat of Palistine). I hate that solution. Bush should shut the hell up.
On top of that, about the whole Iraq/Oil thing... We don't NEED their oil. In fact, the Bush adminstration is pushing for the use of only Domestic oil. Why do you think he wants to drill in Alaska? In my opinion its not Bush who's entirely at fault for the Iraq situation. In fact, Condi Rice was the one who came up with the whole plan, and she bothers the hell outta me for doing so.
