AMV's with in-anime SOUND

Postby Lyrs » Thu Aug 29, 2002 4:13 pm

I have noticed that out of the several hundred video's that I have watched, none of them have any sounds from the anime series at all.

Evangelion videos for example, Shinji has been known for some seriously warped screams, why not incorporate that into the video? Or explosions from the Gundam's for Gundam vid's?

The real point for this post is: Where can I get vid's that use in-anime sounds?

I think Silvermoon's latest video does. I'm not sure though.

My War Cry video uses some sounds from the anime itself. If you want a long descritption, it's in the video profile thingy ^_^

Yes it does. Her latest, and "One Day" both used audio from the anime. So did my "Onyou no Yume" vid...

Yes, I put voice-overs in my latest vid, In My Arms Again and in One Day. Here's a link to DD's Onyou no Yume.

Tainted Donuts also uses voice-overs, and Dragon Bebop Z. And there's Kirk Rende's Mercury video, and C-Jay Productions' Believe... now that I think about it there aren't too many that I've seen.

Well, speaking for myself, most of the videos I have use sound clips in them. As for how to do it? Well there's one or two ways it can be done that I know of. Use a wave editing program (I use Creative Labs' Wave Studio and the special 'paste mix' function). Or you can put different sound files on separate audio channels in the timline project view of Adobe Premiere. I've found that it feels more emotional and works a lot better if you insert the sound clips during long instrumental segments of the song.

The problem is that the sounds we want to use (voices, ...) has a background music most of the time.

I wanted to put the sound of someone blowing a rose petale in his helmett in my last vid but I had to go 40 secs back to have the possibility of fading out that damn music.

There's this video called "View or die" I saw at AX that uses voiceover stuff.

One of my first videos called Third Child used Shinji's voice in it in a few spots.

This one Eva vid that uses Weird Al's "I Think I'm A Clone Now" has some of the Eva Japanese dub in it, which I think adds to the video. I think typically, however, that using in anime sounds is not a good idea, and adds distraction rather than art.

my question is HOW do you put the in-anime audio... >_< cuz it doesn't render for me... it just remains silent....
