Opinions, who's still writing them?

Postby pmfreak » Mon Aug 26, 2002 11:08 pm

I'm wondering who's still writing opinions to some else videos? Cause I notice that I didn't have any opinions for the past 5 or 6 months, and I probably want it that way, since (bad) opinions gave me less motivation to make AMVs........

I'm still writing opinions all the time. My goal is to give an opinion on every music video I dowload. My problem is that I started this goal to late. Now I have a huge amount of AMVs and have only given 38 opinions so far. Right now, though, I'm taking it one step at a time, and hopefully one day, I'll be finished.

I noticed that when the site was new last year, people gave opinions like mad. Now's it's toned down alot..

Actually, I just prefer some sort of feedback from anyone who watches my videos. I don't really require an opinion since even a few words via e-mail is good too.

I feel Feedback is very important.... So If someone asks for an opinion on a video I've watched, I don't mind e-mailing them. That way I stay away from rating things....

I try to give opinions to whatever videos I download -- really long ones go to videos that really impress or disgust me :P

It's just a nice thing to do -- I can't think of anybody who doesn't want to think what other people think of their videos.

It might be an idea to add a feedback selection to each video. This would not feature ratings but just feeback (a sentence or more). I just feel that leaving opinions and having to rate the video and write justifications to it just turns some people away... Just a thought

I stopped giving opinions when I kept getting nothing from review exchanges.

I still write them when I can but I don't have as much free time as I used to. :( My opinions take 1-2 hours to write sometimes, so I might need to tone them down a little. :?

I failed to mention that I QUIT!! writing opinions cause of two things.

1. 50% to 80% of the videos I downloaded/watched (at an anime conventions) mostly SUCKS!! (I have to admit that). And if I write an opinion, I'll make them fill bad, and make them quit AMVs.... (don't ask why I think this way...)

2. I don't feel like typing a paragraph on a opinion..

I'm still active, though I've been too busy and / or fatigued for quite a while now. I've been 'working' on the one I'm on at the moment for at least 3 months.

I used to care too much about getting opinions until I realized that they weren't as important as I thought. Sometimes opinions can prevent a person from downloading something he or she might like. I've also noticed from reading people's journals and posts, that a few people keep complaining about not getting enough opinions. Feedback is always nice and I like to hear what people think of my stuff, but I feel that people are getting too obsessed with getting opinions at this site now. I still enjoy the site for being a great massive database for amvs and being able to talk with other people but the opinion thing just isn't as important as people think..

I'd still like to thank everyone's who's given me an opinion but I won't participate in it as much anymore.

see, if you hadn't been such an avid spammer maybe you'd know. spend a little time on the main site. just a little and maybe you'll learn a thing or two.

as for writting opinions, i still write them. though it takes me a while to get done with an opinion. like a couple days because i usually stop in the middle of one because i get tired of watching the vid or i need to do something. most of the tiem i can't sit down long enough to write one opinion straight through. i try to be as thorough and as helpfull as i can when i write an opinon becuase they do their best to create that vid. the least you can do is give them a useful tip on how to improve their vid if need be.
