I was just wondering what it is about Anime or AMVs that are so awesome, that make people want to get really involved in them? Is it the stories? The actual animation techniques? Drawing techniques? Why do people go fanatical over them?Just wondering. I've never seen an anime episode (maybe parts of DBZ).
Also, I was wondering what a good series would be to start with. It can't get too racy...just about PG-13 level because of the parents (I'm a high school sophomore). And I guess I don't really want it to be a huge series, cuz that would cost lots of money..just some small but well-known series.
THanks a lot for y'all's input, and I would greatly appreciate anyone's opinion.
Yes!! Very good family oriented anime....bloodyfang wrote:La Blue girl is a great family anime.
so is cool devices. ^_~

I would also very strongly recommend Trigun since it's just plain awesome! It's in a set of 8 DVDs (26 episodes) which can be pretty pricey, though. Neon Genesis Evangelion is also 26 episodes, but it's a very popular anime (top one on this site) and also well worth taking a look at.
Evangelion is definately NOT an intro-to-anime series. Eva is a real love it or hate it series. Not an ice breaker.
