Kazaa

Post by S{ullEosis » Wed Oct 15, 2003 12:35 am

Since right now im looking for a new job and my mommy isnt going to pay for me to host amvs i decided to put my amv on kazaa. For some odd reason it cant be found at all on kazaa i asked several of my friends to try and find it on there and they as of yet have yet to see it. Is there some kind of timelimit between when i put in in the kazaa folder and when it becomes apart of kazaa or is it just so lost in the mix that it will never be found.

I thought the two week probationary period only applied to downloading, not uploading... :?

I thought that too.

As for your problem with kazaa, it's normal : when you do a search on kazaa, the client does not look EVERYWHERE...
If you're the only one sharing your files, chances for people to find your video (even if they actually enter its full name) are near 0.

We did this last year for the DDR2 : 4 of us were sharing it on kazaa, yet it was nowhere to be found...
If you really want to use a p2p to share your amv, use bittorrent, winmx or IRC...
but of course the golden donut seems to be the better solution (if your AMVs are not crappy linkinZ videos :? )

Personally, I'm partial to SoulSeek... I have managed to find a bunch of AMVs there (that only one or a few people had), and I'm currently sharing all the ones I have (if that means anything).

without K-lite you can't select your supernode and since you ar ethe only one with the file you shoudl give it to as many people as possible an dask them to share it as well under the same name
that way the more supernodes that have sen it the more likely it is to eb found
also K-lites unlimited searches allow you to find very rare files
try connecting to the same supernode as your friends
i have also found that it is impossible to find your own files that are on your computer using the search also you can't find files on other computers in your LAN
