My vote goes to Melezov even though I haven't heard from him in quite awhile and he promised to review my Soul 2 Soul video but hasn't yet. :/ All of his videos are in languages other than English, expanding the musical horizons. The synching on them is quite good too and his second and third videos I consider the definitive Hellsing and Excel Saga videos respectively.

fitzpatrick

He only has one video I have seen and it was at the Otakon 2001 screening. It was an Eva video to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. That's a long song and the whole thing was impressive to me as it was his first video (according to what he says here on the a-m-v.org catalog)

Maybe I should actually review or send an email saying that I liked it ;)

Definately melezov and Wonka. Wonka made the first VHD: Bloodlust vid that I liked. The only one so far.

There's a few others, but they only have a few vids under their belt and I'm not sure which are public. *Coughs* I think they'd rather I didn't mention their names :) .

Misty... was that Evangelion Opus or is that a different one? I know Evangelion Opus was using "Bohemian Rhapsody" but I'm not sure if it's the only one.

Roy "kenshin" Heiser gets one of my votes. He's made on of the only Linkin Park videos I've liked, and his Blu Cheese Cake video is just fantastic. He's been around for a while and has made some really crummy early stuff but his latest two are really good.

Also gotta give a shout out for my home skillet Chuck cause he's bustin' it Reynold's Style. He's the only other maker of a Linkin Park vid I liked. :) He's also a generally all-around cool guy.

Since Ian has now won a couple contests for SRV I can't call him underrated anymore, but even before SRV he was.

My vote would have to go for Akimbo of More Than Toast; the Love Hina video is terrific!

Rich Lather... i have alot of your videos digitally on my server...

I now handle the AMV tech side at AWA.... so I got Jingoro's library archived ^_^

Quu: You mean for like...download and stuff? The sort of thing I could, y'know, make available to the public? If so, shoot me some info so's I can make with the linkage.

Additionally, I can send you more if you've the space for it. Right now I'm concentrating on getting MTV-style titling on all the ones that don't have early-'90s era Chyron on them.

Oh, and speaking of Jingoro that's another underrated AMV producer I'd like to mention. He's got some good stuff and was a contemporary of myself, Matt Murray, and other early-generation AMV producers like C-ko...

Jingoro's Sol Bianca video (set to Mike + The Mechanics' "Blame") is a fave of mine, and his Urusei Yatsura one is an excellent lyrical match throughout.

For that matter, I'll also put out the name of Matt Murray of Corn Pone Flicks, who is largely unknown to the AMV community of today for the same reason I am considered underrated: lack of downloadable product. Once you've seen his Giant Robo/"Turn Out The Light" and Harmageddon/"Entropy" videos, as well as "Slime Creatures from Outer Space" and "Christmas at Ground Zero" AMVs, you'll see what I mean. I will ask him if it's OK to send his stuff to moobies.net, 'cos y'all young whippersnappers need to see it.

I do agree, BigShotSpike does deserve a lot more props than he gets. Don't kill yourself Seph, publicity will come soon enough ^__^.
