Oh my, I haven't shown them to anyone IRL, although some may go over okay. (My dad knows ABOUT AMVs, having run into them while downloading huge amounts of "regular" music videos, and has gotten some for me at random - an odd but nice gesture.

)
My mom is already hugely wary of anime, so there's no chance there. lol. I don't mind, she doesn't give me grief about it; she just doesn't understand it. (After she heard I bought some anime DVDs, she commented, "The weird anime stuff?" I just laughed and said "A lot of anime's weird." I don't know what she expects. I mean, it was CB and Trigun. Dude. Nothing that American movies don't already do.)
Aaaaaanyhow, if I ever made one that was presentable but not too artsy I might show it to my dad. He'd get all parentally impressed and whatnot (a bit sad, as I'm 25 - you'd think he'd be past that) but it would at least explain why I can rattle off stuff about compression and so on whenever the topic comes up.
I'm still debating whether to run my Star Ocean vid past my housemates, as they got me into the band I used in the first place. *shrug*
