Yes. We now make AMVs in portrait mode to better fit people's smartphones and tablets...Otohiko wrote:AMVs are not a landscape.
Not really. But we could!

In the context of AMVs? Poorly timed, SD video sources from VHS era productions.Melanchthon wrote:What is old-school anyway?

Re: How has the AMV landscape changed?
In terms of editing? My last video has almost straight cuts and was very well received from audience and judges at the con where I have premiered it. Linky link...BasharOfTheAges wrote:In the context of AMVs? Poorly timed, SD video sources from VHS era productions.Melanchthon wrote:What is old-school anyway?
YAY! Ben! Seriously... I was thinking about you some weeks ago. I was thinking about what happened to some members. You know... back in the Project Gateway days. I see you still wearing the same banner in your sig =)
I think YouTube still got more and more a place of ADS editors and audience. There are more and more those really short videos. Have fun the way you like, but I disagree in only picking the best parts of a song and making a mindless video to it. For what? For your regular content for your YouTube subscribers? Your present to them, because you've hit 300 subs? I wish there would be more time spent on full length concepts and AMVs. Not saying that there aren't enough of them around...
Some editing styles are more present in specific editor types than in others. Like... those typical Sony Vegas-cookie cutter vids that float around in YouTube.
After harsh censorship of my latest AMV on YouTube, I'm still the opinion that the org matters and has it's place.
People at the conventions still love amvs. AMV-contest became some regular bitch for every convention in my country. Almost like cosplay contests. Everybody just has to have one.
Personally: I'm back! After almost two years of some sort of break. People thought that I've quit! oO
Godix died too? Wow... Zetzu already shocked me a lot. -.-
You can find me on YT under "Bauzi514". Subscribe to never miss my AMV releases.
