The worst piece of advice you've gotten about AMV making

I've not received much in the way of advice before in a positive or negative way. I have however been asked how to convert videos and if a series is on Netflix. I'm not sure what made me an authority on such things since when I last checked I was an editor and not the google search bar, or how this was meant to be helpful to me at all.
