Very first AMV

Postby zibbazabba905 » Mon Feb 20, 2012 7:08 am

There are a lot of awesome AMVs from the pro's out there, and I was just wondering what your first AMV's looked like. Embarrassingly firsts. Locked it up and threw away the key, and yet you archived it somewhere for some reason (to post it in this thread!) first video. That feeling of this is so fun and EASY...

This was my first, I think I made it all off of youtube rips... I thought it was soo cool that some of the subtitles would go with the beat (accidentally)

This is my first. Actually I haven't done many videos since then (about 5, 6?) but I had a long break. When I was doing that video I was 13 :D.

Edited out from one episode, had to drop about half of it already because of subs (yep, I avoided them from my very first vid).

All my "first" amvs no longer have working links, and therefore I don't have copies, so this is my closest to "first" as I can fathom. Ew at failed lip sync, bad scene selection and crappy DVD rip. >_<

I made my first video with a stopwatch and a vcr!! no... actually I used virtualdub. You simply cut clips than use the 'append new segment' command to put them all together than add your song. It's pretty simple. With the stopwatch I actually had it pretty much in sync :P it was a VERY fun venture I'll NEVER try again -_- lol.

My Sanctuary
Honestly, if I recall correctly, this one was my 3rd. My first and second were forever lost when my first yt account got suspended and my HDD proceeded to crash. Only bothered uploading this one because I liked it a lot more than my 1st and 2nd but it's still the same level of editing.

Didn't quite have the whole AR thing figured out. Doki was the one who kindly explained to me what was wrong with my video and why I was getting QC's along the lines of "Ew: squishy Cloud." It's a classic example of desperately trying to follow the (at the time) bewildering, convoluted EADFAG and not being able to see the forest for the trees...

I still like this AMV very much, though. It represents the magic moment when I finally figured out how to make an AMV after about fix or six years of colossal failure.
