This post will have nothing to do with the topic.
As I was reading through the forum today I happened upon this quote. It's something I've heard and quoted in the past. Hell, I believe I've quoted the saying on this forum. But for the life of me I couldn't remember where I heard it. So where do I go? Google, of course.
Everyone should look up the various incarnations of this quote on a search engine. You'd be surprised how many supremely pretentious people use it (nothing against you, trythil, as I've used it MANY times myself). The saying has been attributed - and used by - more artists in more mediums than I can count - ranging from Oscar Wilde to frickin software designers.
So apparently this saying is one of those choose your own adventure, drop in your particular work of art things. A fill in the blank mad lib of philosophical justification.
And it sounded so cool at the time...
Oh, and I lied, I'll write about the topic. I don't consider any of my AMVs masterpieces, nor do I intend them to be. I like each one for different reasons. Besides, the term masterpiece is relative anyway. One person's masterpiece is another person's pile of crap if he/she doesn't understand it. Okay, I'm done. Later,
