At Sakuracon a not so well known but good editor asked me if I knew who Koopiskeva was, I told her I slept on his couch multiple times and we were good friends. "O.O"

I could probably add that when I walk around cons with my friend Matt we'll get stopped randomly by people who have been to our adult AMV events. Apparently people really love us for showing such horrible videos while both physically and mentally abusing them.... Not sure if that counts as AMV fame, but without vids made by the likes of MJ, SD, and others I wouldn't have any content to be known for showing....

Haha, I got this same thing, when I was living in the apartment with him and Brad.
The person was like "You live in Chicago? OMG, did you know Koopiskeva lives there, too?"
"...Yes. He and AtomX are my roommates."
"Who?"

"hmm... I recognize that username..."

That's about the extent of any 'fame' I have.
Kinda sad that actually made my day :|

Funny I sometimes ask if people know who Koopiskeva is and they ask me "who?"

"Or would you like a koupis kevab instead?"

Fame... hmm... Australia being, well, "smaller" population wise to countries in the northern hemisphere, it's easier to get remembered. However, more often than not, any perceived "fame" I might have had was due to me being an AMV coordinator/panelist. It's only when I show my vid in a panel that people go, "oh, so that's the dude that made that vid". Hasn't really worked the other way around though I've had people stop me on my out of a convention theatre to talk to me, usually along the lines of, "WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU SHOW MY VIDEO ON THE MAIN SHOW?!!!"

So yeah... fame has its price.

i'm glad someone else started this topic...
i've been seriously considering buying a stick to beat off the fangirls that flock over to me and smother me with their massively disproportionate bosoms. It's getting to be a problem. And then there's the paparazzi. When i say no pictures, i mean...NO. PICTURES!

glad i have my secret island to go to when i want a break from it all...

On the real tho when I first met Fall_Child, ZephyrStar and Otohiko all I wanted to do was chill with these guys and have a drink somewhere. Which we did and it was some good times, last thing on our minds was how famous the other person was. Now these days all I wanna do is meet other editors get drunk and talk about stupid shit. :P

Never dealt with fans at cons, usually it's me who goes up to other editors and more times than not they have never heard of me, lol.

How odd: this next sunday there's another anime fest and people is already asking me if I'm going to go, even they want to sell me the ticket. It was funny when I could decide if going or not, but it's getting boring :(
