Is it taboo to use preset transitions? Kinda like what George Lucas did in the prequels. I swear that movie was edited in Premiere and he just went down the list in the "Transitions" tab

OH.MY.GOD. Radial Wipe!!!! :ying:

A little off-topic, but...

huh...I thought I had cleared that one up

I for one enjoy the "HIP HOP AND AMVS DONT MIX LOL" stereotype. And by enjoy, I mean I hate it.

i don't see tv sim on the Org at all unless it's to ACTUALLY simulate a tv in a video. or if the editor is gernally bad anyway. there are exceptions though.

I dunno, there have been a few people who've complained about any effects. Mostly people who never learned after effects.

ITT: people come up with as many blatantly bad things as they can as counter examples because nobody understands hyperbole.

The one I HATE is 'lip synching is a COMEDIC device and should ONLY be used in COMEDYS'

The reason behind this is simply because many ppl relate these scenes to that.

My question is WHAT KIND OF DUMBFUCK SEES SOMEBODY TALKING AND AUTOMATICALLY LAUGHS?? WHAT can perverse someone so that they'd think 'that's got to be a comedic elemant' when EVERYTHING ELSE says 'no! no comedy here!!'

WTF MAN?!! The problem is NOT MY EDITING the PROBLEM IS YOUR DUMBASS MIND!! Straighten up mofo's :/

on an unrelated note, the best editors follow one simple rule. no matter what you make NO MATTER HOW GOOD YOU MAKE IT no matter how much you suck the other person's ... EGO WHATEVER you make can still come out STUPID!! unpopular, overused, took you 3 years to scratch out, WHATEVER!! IT'S ALL STUPID!! ESPECIALLY if it took you 3 years to do what Ileia can do in 3 hours :/

I like to do combinations that have already been done. Just to see just how much better mine can be to theirs is all :) ofc there are some that I just dare not do, but mostly if the previous combination isn't 'popular' than it's troll bait for me <3

Magical transformation AMVs using Sailor Moon/Tokyo Mew Mew/Digimon/Whatever set to [insert absolutely any song here]. Editing is optional.

think that's what was meant by 'opening whore' though 'opening whore' is a better way to say it as it also includes the ones that just have big explosions and shit
