What is considered publishing?

Postby gotegenks » Tue Oct 05, 2010 5:30 pm

particularly in the eyes of akross con.

Can i send my friends betas? Can i post a thread in the op forum asking for beta testing? When does it become "publishing", or has it already become publishing

Have you tried asking Akross this question... I would think that they would be the ones to ask since it's their rules.

As long as it's not publicly available as a finished video, it should be alright. But yeah, I'd ask someone who coordinates the con before doing anything.

You're the guy that join recently Akross. You can go to the forum to ask the people, as long as it's a beta

You can go and ask in their forums. I know that they have nothing against threads, questions and posts in English.

Publishing is for me if you send it to a bigger audience (conventions) or you publish it on the internet for random people (like you do here or on YouTube).

akross states that you can have beta testers just don't put beta's up on youtube, a-m-v.org, or any website for that matter.

Pretty much as he said. As long as your video is not hosted, nor posted on any other site until after Akross is over. So if you want to have betas, you can only do it over msn/skype/ sendspace links. It cannot be opened in a thread, shown on youtube for a quick beta, etc. The video itself is supposed to be basically a first shown thing on the Akross site!! Hope that helps :3
